puceWelcome To Nebula'11

Welcome to Nebula'11, a nation-wide analog circuit design contest by Cosmic Circuits Pvt. Ltd. Introduced in 2008 to build and promote a strong analog community in India, Nebula has seen a deluging response for it's earlier editions from all across the country. Enthused by the response, we're glad to announce the launch of Nebula'11, the fourth edition of Nebula.

"I have loved analog design because it deals with compromises, as does life itself.!" "I will try to find out where science stops in analog design and where art begins-or is it the other way around?.!!"- 'Circuit of Life' by Willy Sansen

puceThe Journey in brief

A sneek peak into the world of an Analog engineer that starts with objective questions on basics, gradually moving on to analysis of an analog system and concluding with a solution to a real world problem - A complete journey of the analog design cycle.

Planetary stage:-The online quiz will comprise of objective questions to test the contestant's understanding of fundamentals like analog circuits, circuit theory, feedback etc. The test will last for 45 minutes. The contestants are free to take the quiz at their convenience. Please note that only one attempt is allowed for each contestant.

Emission Stage:-The qualified contestants in online quiz will progress to the Emission Stage. A problem statement will be put up on this website. The contestants will have three weeks to understand the problem and work on it. A detailed report on the solution should be submitted through e-mail.

Stellar Nursery:-After successfully clearing the Planetary and Emission stages, contestants will be invited to our design house in Bangalore. The final challenge will be similar in concept to the problem in the Emission Stage. The judges will test their methodology to solve circuit problems in an environment very similar to the workplace scenario and their ability to present the solution in a cogent fashion.

Thus, the participant begins the journey at the fundamentals and concludes it by designing an analog system to address a complex, real-world challenge.
